GNU Grub 2.04 does have memtest86+ that could be used to perform RAM load tests. Below are some lines to enable testing from within the Linux OS:
# Install the memory tester sudo apt install memtester # Perform the RAM test testSize=100MB iterations=1 sudo memtester $testSize $iterations # Sample result ramtest@linuxbox:~$ sudo memtester $testSize $iterations memtester version 4.5.0 (64-bit) Copyright (C) 2001-2020 Charles Cazabon.
