How to Migrate AP From One Controller to Another

Option 1:

  1. Backup the configs of the old controller
  2. Restore the configs to the new controller

Option 2:

  1. SSH into AP with previous controller’s username & password
  2. Reset the AP with this command: ‘syswrapper.sh restor-default’
  3. Reconnect to AP with default credentials ubnt/ubnt
  4. Type: mca-cli shellset-inform x.x.x.x:8080/inform (x.x.x.x is the ip of the new unifi controller)
    mca-cli shell
    set-inform server.ip.here:8080/inform
  5. Logon to new controller and verify that such AP has been adopted
